DESCRIPTION Handcrafted brown octopus trap with large mesh. The trap is made manually from cutting to assembly. All parts are joined with stainless steel staples for durability and corrosion resistance in seawater. The sturdy plastic mesh does not require an additional frame but includes corrugated iron bars on the lower sides for easy sinking and stability on the seabed.
The top of the trap features a round entrance designed to prevent octopus escape and allow easy specimen removal. This section is secured with stainless steel staples to prevent corrosion. It also includes a rigid mesh feeder tube for bait, with a plastic lid (approved by the Spanish food registry) that closes automatically with a rubber band for quick and efficient baiting.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Minimal maintenance is required due to the high-quality plastic. For continuous use, it is recommended to clean with fresh water a few times during the season to remove algae and shells. For land storage, clean with fresh water to remove debris from the mesh. Stackable up to 5 units, aligning them precisely to avoid deformation. When stored outdoors, cover with a protective material to prevent weather damage, especially from sunlight.
